Alexis Tew
Alexis has a passion for serving children with complex communication and behavior needs, including children who have experienced trauma and substance exposure. Her belief in strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approaches led her to create a private practice where each child is celebrated and respected. She holds additional training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention, Natural Language Acquisition, early language development, PROMPT, and orofacial myofunctional therapy.
Owner/Speech-Language PathologistSara Hogge
During Sara’s 5 years of school-based practice, she gained extensive experience working with multiple disabilities, particularly as they present alongside psychiatric conditions. Her specialties include, but are not limited to: literacy instruction, gestalt language processing, social pragmatics, receptive and expressive language skills, and executive functioning coaching. Sara is eager to share her passion for strengths-based treatment as she supports clients in achieving their full potential.
Speech-Language PathologistHallie’s experience includes working in private clinics and schools, primarily working with toddlers, preschool and elementary- aged children. Her areas of interest include, but are not limited to: orofacial myofunctional disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, language disorders, motor speech difficulties and fluency disorders. Hallie believes in a strong collaboration between the child, parent/ caregiver, teacher and clinician and a strengths-based approach to best support a child’s development.
Speech-Language PathologistHallie Ribelin
Kasha brings 15 years of experience working in early intervention, private practice, and residential treatment, supporting children and young adults with complex communication needs. They are passionate about empowering children and teens with limited language skills, including those with complex communication needs, to communicate and connect meaningfully. They bring creativity and sensory-friendly practices to therapy sessions, finding engaging, fun ways to help each client reach their goals.

Carrie brings over 20 years of pediatric experience to our team. Carrie has worked in a variety of settings, including early intervention, NICU, and outpatient clinics, with extensive experience supporting preterm infants. Her experience and passion for serving children with complex medical needs led her to pursue a certification in aquatic physical therapy with Adaptive Swim Whisperers® through Swim Angelfish. She brings a creative, play-based approach to help children reach their developmental goals.
Physical TherapistCarrie Lewis
Laura holds a Master’s degree in Maternal and Child Health and brings a deep understanding of child health and development to her work due to years of experience supporting parents in various health and education settings. As the mother of two children with complex medical and special education needs, she is both personally and professionally dedicated to ensuring students receive the support they need to thrive. She is passionate about empowering families to navigate the special education process.

Bre is a 3rd year student at UVA, majoring in speech communication disorders with a minor in American Sign Language. She supports families through the grant application and funding process and is eager to help your family make our services accessible to all families. She is also the mastermind behind many fun themes and activities in our clinic!
Sarah Johnson is an Accredited Case Manager (ACM-SW). She has an extensive background in working in child welfare, hospice, hospital case management and healthcare. She supports our families by advocating for single case agreements for out-of-network coverage, ensuring that insurance barriers do not stand in the way of quality care. She is passionate about navigating the complex healthcare and insurance systems to achieve the best possible outcomes for individuals and families.
